The first 200 users for each model will get the chance to test the new OS on a first-come-first-serve basis. Xiaomi has started rolling out the stable version of the MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12, to its Redmi Note 10 smartphone.

All applicants should follow a special Telegram channel for details on the OTA update. Also, they should be on the MIUI Global stable ROM and they have to be members of the Mi Community with a proper Mi account. Xiaomi also reminded users to back up their data.

The update for Xiaomi 12 is version 13.0.4.0 TLCMIXM, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro is MIUI 13.0.4.0 TLBMIXM. It weighs 4.23 GB and brings relevant security patches as well. It is worth mentioning the Mi Community is currently unavailable in India, Xiaomi’s biggest market.

The MIUI 13 build based on Android 13 currently rolling out to the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro is a “beta stable” release. This means that users who are not enrolled in the Mi Pilot beta testing program will not be able to install it on their devices.

Android 13 release for the Xiaomi 12 has the firmware version 13.0.4.0.TLCMIXM and it measures 4.2GB. The release for the Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, has the firmware version 13.0.4.0.TLBMIXM and it measures 4.3GB.

Along with all the new Android 13 features, it packs the Android security patches for August 2022. As shown in the screenshots, the update is meant for the global variants of the devices.

That build was apparently based on Android 13 beta 3, which is when the OS gained platform stability. Now that Android 13 is fully launched on Pixel phones, it won’t be long before the stable update reaches more phones.

Xiaomi expanded on the parameters of the beta program in a separate post(opens in new tab) back in July.

This testing phase is apparently only open to 200 beta testers, but there may be more phases to come down the line for those with Xiaomi’s best Android phones to experiment and provide further feedback.

Users are advised to visit an authorized Xiaomi service centre if the device does not start after installing the update. Once the company irons out all the issues from the beta version, it will roll out the stable. But the company hasn’t confirmed a specific timeframe for it.
